Introduction:
The pouches are manufactured in accordance with the EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485 standards. Comply with the requirements of the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC. Liquid collection pouches are intended to be applied to reusable surgical drapes before steam sterilization in order to collect liquids during a surgical procedure. The pouches are made of a steam sterilizable and water vapor transmittable polyamide film and can be produced with: a soluble adhesive strip; an exit port; tear off notches; a flexible wire to keep the pouch open; inserts for arthroscopy surgery; a filter.
Characteristics:
1.The pouch must be applied to the re-usable drape before the steam sterilization process.
2.After use, the remains of the pouch can only be removed by means of the washing process.
3.The pouch is for single use only.
4.The pouches are delivered non sterile.
Application:
The pouch must be applied to a reusable surgical drape, after which it is steam sterilized and ready for use. During the washing process of the drape the pouch is removed from the textile. After this process a new pouch can be applied to Application the drapes.
